I’ve been making beard butter for my boyfriend for a few years. I made a new batch for him this weekend, and since it’s the holidays I thought it would be cool to share how I make homemade beard butter as a DIY gift idea for him. I typically use whatever vegetable butter and oils I have in my cabinet to create a unique blend. In this recipe, I am using shea butter, sweet almond oil, and rosemary and peppermint essential oils.
Note: if you have allergies to any ingredients listed, refrain from this DIY recipe.

DIY Gift for Him: Beard Butter
Tools
Bowl
Spoon
Clean glass jar
Ingredients
Shea butter (¼ cup)
Sweet almond oil (1 teaspoon)
Rosemary essential oil (5 drops)
Peppermint essential oil (5 drops)

Directions
Meltdown the shea butter, using a double boiler method. (Easy double boiler method: boil some water and pour it into a bowl.)
Put shea butter in a separate bowl, and place it on top of the bowl of hot water.
After the shea butter melts down, add a teaspoon of sweet almond oil, and several drops each of rosemary and peppermint essential oils.
Mix well, and transfer to a clean storage jar. A little goes a long way; a 2-ounce container lasts 3-4 months.
