I can’t believe we’re already halfway through 2019. In less than six months it will be 2020. Holy fuck! Life moves so fast that it’s important to take moments to pause, stop and reflect. I haven’t written a “best moments of the month” post since January 2019, so it feels appropriate to write a reflection of June, the halfway point of the year.
Here are some of the best moments of June 2019:
My new niece
My little sister gave birth to a beautiful, healthy, baby girl with a head full of hair earlier this month. I am now an aunt twice over!
Making noticeable progress on my #clearskingoals
These homemade masks and a consistent skincare routine are paying off. The hyperpigmentation on my skin is naturally fading.
Workshops & Networking
For someone who hates networking, I’ve been to at least four networking events this year. In June it feels like I made connections that feel more natural and unforced.
KCRW Summer Nights at CAAM
Great music from KCRW DJs, food trucks, art, and beautiful people light up the California African American Museum on summer Friday nights.
