In this post, I’m going to share some winter beauty essentials I picked up last week. There are some great deals happening out there right now, it would be a shame if you didn’t know about them!
Rite-Aid
Last Sunday I stopped at Rite Aid to buy deodorant and body wash. On my way to the register, I made a detour to the haircare aisle to see if I could find Queen Helene’s Cholesterol conditioner. It wasn’t in stock but I found Hollywood Beauty’s Olive Cholesterol Deep Conditioner instead. It wasn’t what I was initially looking for, but the HB product is close enough in terms of formulation, price, and results. My hair loves cholesterol deep conditioning treatments during the winter, I highly recommended it for fine natural curls.
Walgreen’s
Later in the week, I went with my mom to Walgreen’s, where there was a major BOGO on wellness and beauty products. In addition to BOGO on things like Epsom salts, vitamins, and eye care, beauty brands like Sally Hansen, Maybelline, Shea Moisture, ORS, Cantu, and Carol’s Daughter were also on sale. I could barely contain myself — luckily I was able to reign in my inner product junkie and stick to my list because I could have done some real damage. At the time of writing this post the BOGO is still happening; I may go again before the sale ends.
Sally’s Beauty Supply
After leaving Walgreen’s we went to Sally’s to get a bonnet dryer attachment for my mom. I let her use my Beauty Club membership, which happened to up for renewal this month ($5 per year). No sweat, because the renewal fee pretty much paid for itself after I receive a free full-sized Silk Elements conditioner AND a $5 coupon good through the end of March. Great way to get me to come again, Sally’s.
